Eco-Friendly Cleaners Part 3

#3 AIR FRESHENER

This isn't really a "cleaner" recipe, but for air freshener.
A good air freshener is very important in my house, especially with two large dogs.

   What you need:
-1tbsp lemon peel
-1tsp cinnamon
-2 1/2 cups water

   What to do:
After you juice a lemon, save the peel. Simmer the zest from the lemon in water with a teaspoon of cinnamon. Let the aroma fill your house.
*TIP: If you have a stubborn smell add a few tablespoons of baking soda to the mix.

Eco-Friendly Cleaners Part 2

#2 ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER
   What you need:
1/4 cup baking soda
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 gallon water

   What to do:
Mix the vinegar and baking soda into 1/2 gallon of water. Store and Keep.
Use it to clean sinks, appliances, countertops and other washable surfaces.

  How it works:
When used alone white vinegar is great for cutting grease and removing mildew, and baking soda is great for deodorizing and cleaning. Combined the mixture releases carbon dioxide which cuts  through dirt, water deposits and stains.

Eco-Friendly Cleaners

On average, homes contain up to 25 gallons of toxic chemicals, mostly store bought cleaners.
I am going to give you 3 recipes for cleaners that are Eco-friendly.

#1 DRAIN CLEANER
     What you need:
-1/2 cup baking soda
-1 gallon hot water
-1 cup vinegar
-1/2 a lemon

       What to do:
First, pour a 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain. Then mix 1 cup of vinegar and the juice of 1/2 a lemon. Pour the mixture down the drain after the baking soda.
Wait 5 minutes then pour a gallon of hot water down the drain. The water will wash out the mixture leaving a clean drain.

       How it works:
The baking soda is an alkaline chemical, so it eats through the grease and other gunk in your pipes. Vinegar is an acid that makes the baking soda foam, making some agitation to clean the drain.
